Ultrasound, sometimes called Sonography, involves the use of sound waves verses xrays. Sound waves are reflected off body organs to produce pictures of the inside of the body. Ultrasound is usually a painless test that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions.
Ultrasound tests are scheduled by your physicians' office. Most procedures require preparations obtained from your physician. Please register at the outpatient registration office located at the main entrance of the hospital 15 minutes prior to the appointment. If you have any questions call: 274-9301 extention 1273.
