Hours of Operation: Outpatient Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm
Nuclear Medicine images can assist the physician in diagnosing diseases. Tumors, infection, and other disorders can be detected by evaluating organ function. Nuclear Medicine can be used to:
- Analyze kidney function
- Image blood flow and function of the heart
- Identify blockage of the gallbladder
- Determine the presence of cancer
- Identiy the presence of infection
- Determine thyroid function
- Lung scanning to determine respiratory and blood flow
Nuclear Medicine procedures are scheduled by your physicians' office. Most procedures require special instructions obtained through your doctors office. Please register at the outpatient registration office located at the main entrance of the hospital 15 minutes prior to the appointment time. If you have any questions, call 274-9301 extention 1273.
