Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit - Inpatient

Hours of Operation: 24 hr inpatient care 7 days a week
Senior Adults who are experincing any of the symptoms below: depression, marked personality changes, changes in eating and sleeping patterns, confused thinking, inability to concentrate and/or memory loss, excessive fears, anxieties, paranoia, withdrawal from family, friends and others, inability to cope with daily living, resulting in unsafe behaviors, hallucinations, hearing voices, advance Dementia or other related mental health issues.
Comprehensive medical and psychological evaluation; individual treatment plan, individual, group and family therapy, family participation, including education and therapy, coping and life skills training, activity therapy groups, therapeutic exercise/stress reduction, pastoral counseling, medical management/education, and individualized continuing care plan for discharged patients and their families.
How to make a referral; Call Charles Cole Memorial Hospital Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit at (814) 260-5225 and explain that you would like to make a referral. At the time of your referral, you will be asked for your name, title, organization, address and phone number, your relationship to the patient; who will accompany the patient to the Unit and the date and time the patient will arrive. You will be asked for a release of information prior to treatment; the clinical review will be done regarding the patient with the attending psychiatrist and approval of acceptance will be completed in order to make the necessary arrangements for transportation to the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit for Seniors.
