Charles Cole Memorial Hospital is recognized nationally for its innovative system of satellite health centers. The philosophy is simple provide the residents of the communities with the health care services they need in their communities. Patients should not have to travel long distances to have access to care.
Since the first satellite clinic opened in Galeton in the early 1970s, the network has grown to include eight sites in communities surrounding the hospital in Coudersport. Each is staffed with a Primary Care Physician and most have Physician Assistants or Certified Nurse Practitioners. Many have the services of specialists on a rotating basis.
In addition to the services offered in our satellite health centers, there are also physicians associated with Charles Cole Memorial Hospital who practice in local communities. The Irwin Medical Arts Center, which adjoins the Hospital on Route 6, east of Coudersport, offers office space for primary care physicians as well as specialists who practice at Charles Cole
Memorial Hospital. Physician offices are also located in the Irwin Rehabilitation Center and in the Women & Family Health Center.
Charles Cole Memorial Hospital's Health Centers provide patients in the four county area with quality primary healthcare right in their own communities. It's good to know that healthcare is available without having to arrange for transportation to the Hospital.
